Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

 

“GAD is a long term condition which causes you to feel anxious about a wide range of situations and issues rather than one specific event.” (HSE.ie, 2014)

 

There are both psychological and physical symptoms of GAD. GAD is a very serious condition and is not addressed enough in the media or online and this is what we are going to base our project on.

  • Restlessness

  • Sense of dread

  • Feeling constantly ‘on edge’

  • Irritability

  • Impatience

  • Being easily distracted

  • Physical Symptoms

 

Physical Symptoms

  • Dizziness

  • Drowsiness & Tiredness

  • Pins & Needles

  • Irregular Heartbeat

  • Muscle aches & Tension

  • Dry Mouth

  • Stomach aches

  • Difficulty falling  Asleep
